72 billion pounds of food go to waste each year, yet 1 in 8 people in the U.S. face hunger. Project DASH, DoorDash Acts for Sustainability and Hunger, is helping solve this problem by powering delivery of surplus food to non-profits, shelters and food pantries.
We designed three billboards in Brooklyn, Austin and Boston that were hand-painted by the good people at Colossal Media to raise awareness. We invited people to take a “selfless selfie” to donate a meal to someone in need. We engaged 60 influencers on the campaign which resulted in 170 social posts and 7.5 million impressions.
